Friend,

Believe it or not, it’s only been 100 days of this disaster of an administration.

Here is a list of just some of the chaotic things that Trump has done in this second administration: 

• Instituted high tariffs, eroded trust with our closest trading partners, and pushed the country to the brink of a recession, while a trade war looms.

• Paid to golf at his own resort at a cost of $26 million in taxpayer dollars, even as people lost their jobs, the stock market plummeted, and costs remained high.

• Hired the richest man in the world as Co-President and claims Elon Musk will now leave the administration after facing pushback.

• Force-fed Americans a slew of erratic and over-reaching executive orders, many of which are being challenged in court.

• Denying federal funding to several disaster-stricken states, abandoning Americans who need help, and denying future disaster relief to states as we go into hurricane season.

• Began dismantling the Department of Education — a move celebrated by his biggest Texas Republican cheerleaders who made their religious voyage to the White House to grovel at his feet.

• Has shown our NATO allies that America could not be trusted, while begging his boss Vladimir Putin to end the war in Ukraine (didn’t end that war on Day 1 as promised, btw).

• Deported both citizens and non-citizens without due process, including children receiving care in the United States.

• Pardoned the January 6th rioters he sent to invade the United States Capitol.

• Continues attacking institutions of education while eroding free speech of American citizens.

Friend, I’m pissed. But as we hit 100 days I’m going to keep fighting the remaining 1,361 days— for our state, and for our future.

Republicans are rightfully afraid of 2026. We know they’re worried because they’re passing laws making it harder to vote and lying (again) about non-citizens voting, to distract you from the real story: they are trying to take away your rights.

You know what scares me? This:

At this point, we’re only 6% into Trump’s (hopefully last) presidency. I know times are tough because he’s cratered the American economy, but could you send us $6 to help fight back against this fascism? If you’re as angry at this administration as I am — and if you’re able — can you send $100?

The working people of Texas are our cause. You are why we fight. We’re doing everything we can here in Texas to gear up for the fight ahead, but we can’t do it without you.
