Key protections have already been overturned in Nevada and New Mexico to
clear the way for drilling and mining.^2 Now, Trump wants to expand lease
sales across all eligible public lands, tipping the scales even further
toward polluters.
These lands aren’t just home to endangered wildlife, or where people go to
reconnect with nature. They’re also places of cultural importance to
Indigenous peoples, who should have a say in their governance and
protection.
But Trump’s first 100 days in office have made his priorities crystal
clear: profits over people, and polluters over protections.
Let’s close out Earth Month not with silence, but with strength. Join our
