We’ll be joined by:

The Intercept and FPF led a legal brief signed by over 60 press freedom organizations and advocates, including Abrams, opposing President Donald Trump’s executive orders targeting law firms. Albert’s firm wrote the brief (as well as a much more succinct statement about the orders).

We’ll talk about why we filed the brief and how Trump’s attacks on law firms harm the independent journalists and nonprofit media outlets that depend on pro bono and reduced-cost legal representation. We’ll also talk about Trump’s alarming efforts to target tax-exempt nonprofit organizations and other institutions that hold his administration to account and interfere with his ability to control the narrative.
