Georgia Saves Girls Sports!

Young girl runner on track

Dear John,

We have some wonderful news to share: Georgia Governor Brian Kemp just signed the Riley Gaines Act, which protects girls' sports at the high school and collegiate level in the Peach State!

That’s good news for Georgia, but even better news for America – because Georgia is now the 25th state to make sure women’s sports and private spaces like bathrooms and locker rooms are reserved for actual women.

In signing the bill, Gov. Kemp said this: “Girls should not have to share a playing field, a restroom, or a locker room with boys and vice versa, and the commonsense legislation I signed today is about what is fair and safe for our children.”

FPA was on the ground all the way back in 2020 helping Idaho state Representative Barbara Ehardt when she successfully sponsored the very first Save Girls Sports bill. Since then, our #SaveGirlsSports campaign has been unstoppable! State after state has stood up for women’s rights and opportunities, and now fully half of the United States has protected girls' sports from transgender ideology.

America has been the world leader in women’s civil rights for generations. But radical Gender Ideology has been chipping away at those hard-won rights for the past several years.

Seeing this threat on the horizon, FPA and our state allies have been working tirelessly to stop this agenda in its tracks, so women and girls aren't erased in law and society by those who “identify” as women. YOU have made every step, and every win, possible, and today’s landmark victory is due to your engagement on the issue!

We want to thank our friends at Frontline Policy Council, the state Family Policy Council (FPC) in Georgia, for their tireless and brilliant work to get this Act passed.

And while we celebrate this watershed moment, our work is not done – the other half of the country still needs to #SaveGirlsSports. Together, we will continue to push back against this ideology!

Sincerely,

Joseph Signature
