It’s Sarah.
Today marks 100 days since Donald Trump returned to the White House, and I
want to reflect on where we are, what we’ve faced, and why this fight
matters more than ever.
Over the past 100 days, we’ve seen chaos and cruelty at every turn – from
harmful tariffs and rising prices, attacks on our most vulnerable
neighbors, and even Trump ignoring Supreme Court orders when they don’t
suit his political agenda.
And now, House Republicans are moving forward with their plan to make the
largest cut to Medicaid in American history, threatening health care for
millions of families.
In conversations with Delawareans over the last few weeks, I’ve heard a
real, palpable fear. Fear about the cost of health care. Fear about rights
and freedoms slipping away. Fear about whether anyone in Washington is
truly fighting for them.
I hear that fear. I carry it with me in every room. And I promise you
this: I will fight hard. I will fight smart. And I will continue to stand
up to this administration.
Over the weekend, I joined Leader Hakeem Jeffries and Senator Cory Booker
on the Capitol steps in a sit-in protest to sound the alarm about the
Republican majority’s heartless plan to make devastating Medicaid cuts.
And earlier this month, we helped push Trump to reverse some dangerous
cuts to key programs supporting manufacturers in Delaware and across the
country — proof that when we organize and fight, we can win.
But just 100 days in, we know the road ahead will be long. And we need to
show that we’re ready for the big fights to come.
My team has told me that we’re $4,500 short of our April fundraising goal,
and we have less than 48 hours left until our end-of-month deadline.

you pitch in any amount you can spare to help me reach this goal and fuel
my work to keep up the fight inside and outside of Congress?
Your grassroots support powers everything we do. The average donation from
emails like this one is just about 20 bucks. That means any amount you
give will make a powerful difference in our efforts to hold the GOP
accountable, defend health care, and fight for a future where every family
and everyone has a fair shot.
Trump and his billionaire allies are betting that fear, chaos, cruelty,
and exhaustion will weigh us down.
I’m betting on something different: on hope, on solidarity, and on the
courage of people like you, and everyone who is part of this
grassroots movement who refuses to back down.
In solidarity,
Sarah
