The United States is way behind the rest of the world when it comes to supporting mothers, fathers, and families.

That’s why Brittany Pettersen is advocating for policies that would actually support women and working families.

Over the weekend, Brittany spoke to Jen Psaki on MSNBC about the challenges working families are facing right now and the solutions she’s fighting for in Congress. Click below to watch the full clip, then chip in to help Brittany keep fighting for women and working families all across the country:

As the mother of two – including a three-month-old son – Brittany understands just how frustrating (and ludicrously expensive) it can be to find high-quality child care. She’s even on a waitlist herself for child care until this summer — and she’s one of the lucky ones!

Let’s be clear: Child care should not be more expensive than college tuition. And no family should be forced to live in a child care desert.

But Donald Trump and House Republicans’ priorities are elsewhere. They’re decimating funding for Head Start, there are places closing preschool programs if Trump’s funding cuts go through, and they’re taking away health care from 40% of women who rely on Medicaid to support their pregnancies. They’re making it more difficult every single day for families.

And Trump's so-called "baby bonus"? That’s a slap in the face to women. It won’t address the barriers so many people face to starting a family, and he is only making things worse.

That’s why Brittany is fighting back for families and new parents, and standing against these attacks on everyday families from Trump and House Republicans.

If that mission speaks to you, will you chip in $5, $25, or whatever you can today to support Brittany’s fight?
