Wild turkeys strutting in the spring

Still plenty of time for spring turkey hunting

If you haven't filled your tags yet, there's still plenty of time to get your spring turkey hunting fix: The season lasts through May 31, 2025.

With poult production up last year, hunters might be seeing more jakes this season. While most jakes have beards, some don't. Remember that the spring turkey permit is still only valid for one bearded turkey. Also, you must report your harvests; reporting is easy either online, by mobile app or via phone (find instructions on your permit).

Once the whole season wraps up, watch for a survey from us looking back on your experience. Your responses make a difference!
