100 days of erasure: Connecting the dots of Trump’s relentless war on LGBTQ+ lives -- The Advocate [[link removed]]
John,
It's hard to believe that we are only 100 days into the second Trump Administration, because it has felt like a lifetime .
We've seen executive orders trying to force trans people out of all facets of public life, cabinet members actively targeting and removing LGBTQ+ services and history from the government at large, and bigots writing hateful bills into the national conversation. Transphobes and homophobes like Mike Johnson, Nancy Mace and Marjorie Taylor Greene are stalking the Capitol Hill bathrooms, desperately trying to stop Sarah McBride from using a restroom. A record-number of anti-LGBTQ bills are circulating in the state legislatures.
All to say, these 100 days have not been pro-equality. But here's the good news: LGBTQ+ elected officials, candidates and people of every stripe are fighting back. In Congress, the members we worked so hard to elect are speaking out against Trump. In the states, LGBTQ+ leaders are voting down hateful bills and convincing others to cross party lines to ensure the bills are defeated. The resistance is here, and it's absolutely queer.
We've survived the first 100 days, and we must keep going. We have to keep electing these LGBTQ+ people who will be a blockade against Trump's hate. Pitch in today to help Victory Fund and our amazing candidates keep winning! [[link removed]]

The leaders we've elected before are ensuring our rights aren't on the line. In the House, Becca Balint has introduced a national trans healthcare bill. In Colorado, our LGBTQ+ governor and elected officials passed legislation protecting marriage equality. In Montana, SJ Howell and Zooey Zephyr have blocked three anti-equality bills. In Michigan, Noah Arbit has successfully protected LGBTQ+ people in update hate crimes legislation. Our Attorneys General, Dana Nessel and Kris Mayes, have taken the Trump Administration to court - and won. And that's just the start.
And we will keep winning. They're trying to strip away our progress, and we will not let them. Trump may have filled the first 100 days with hate, but we will fill the next 100 with resistance. Donate today to fight back, elect more LGBTQ+ leaders and stop Trump's hate! [[link removed]]
