Dear Friend,

Your rent is rising. Billionaires are getting richer. Our environment is being destroyed. May Day is your chance to fight back. This Thursday, May 1st, we are marching in the thousands to take a stand for the working class. We are demanding a world where every family has housing, healthcare, fair wages, union protection, and safety—regardless of race, zip code, or immigration status.

As part of the May Day climate contingent, the labor and climate movement is standing together for a sustainable economy that works for all of us. Join us at Foley Square at 5 PM to demand clean air, career union jobs, and lower utility bills.

Dear first name,

Donald Trump recently signed a sweeping Executive Order targeting state and local climate laws, threatening to further derail climate progress made over the last decade and jeopardizing New York’s progress toward our climate goals. This is an outrageous attack on our communities who are struggling with skyrocketing utility bills, polluted air, and unreliable heating and cooling at home and in the workplace.

Please send Governor Hochul an email to defend state climate laws. We have set up a simple tool that makes it easy to send an email with just a few clicks.

As billionaires hoard wealth, exploit working people, threaten our democracy, and slash jobs and resources in the process, working people across the country are coming together in the face of a national crisis to declare: We are the many - they are the few! Somos más! We’re fighting the billionaire takeover!

Across the country, states have led the way in the fight against climate change—enacting ambitious laws to curb fossil fuel pollution, advance renewable energy, and build resilient communities.

Here in New York, our Climate Act, is a powerful framework for how New York will reduce utility costs, increase renewable energy use, and ensure all communities benefit equitably in the clean energy transition.

The health and safety of future generations is at risk. Governor Hochul must stand strong and show that our future will not be dictated by Trump and fossil fuel interests.
