Join us on June 17th for an online discussion on cybermisogyny in times of COVID-19 and beyond!
Dear Friend,
Due to high demand, we have increased capacity and added 300 spots for our online discussion on June 17th.
This event is co-hosted by YWCA Canada, featuring panelists Hadiya Roderique ([link removed]) , Rebecca Pacheco ([link removed]) , and Suzie Dunn ([link removed]) , and moderated by LEAF staff lawyer, Rosel Kim. ([link removed])
Our discussion will explore how the COVID-19 pandemic has exacerbated the reach and harms of cybermisogyny from a lived experience perspective. The panelists will explore questions such as:
* How have physical distancing measures during the pandemic heightened the existing root causes of cybermisogyny?
* How are online platforms regulated? What are the gaps in how online platforms are regulated, from a substantive equality perspective?
* What does an equitable digital space look like and how can we work towards achieving it?
For more information or to register for this free event, visit the Eventbrite page. ([link removed]) You can submit questions to our panelists when you RSVP.
