Hey team Illinois! It's Peyton, i'm here with some important information about the Peace is Essential Campaign. The Peace is Essential Campaign was lauched by March For Our Lives and Community Justice Action Fund. Here's why Illinois is involved:

As state budgets are changing due to new needs caused by COVID-19, many governors are cutting funding for violence intervention. We CANNOT let that happen. During this time of crisis, gun violence has increased by 6%. These vital violence intervention teams are working around the clock to both keep the peace and prevent the spread of COVID-19 in many of our most historically marginalized communities who need help from trusted sources like these teams. We believe these programs are essential because the lives that save are essential.

Join us tonight from 6:00-7:00 PM CST to phonebank Illinoisians and ask that they call Governer Pritzker and demand violence intervention funding is allocated for in the new budgets.
