Wisconsin Family Council "Brown-Bagged" It This Week
Did you miss it?

This week Wisconsin Family Council had the pleasure of hosting Dr. James Garlow, respected author and pastor, as a guest for "Lunch with a Purpose"—a one-hour Zoom conference during which he helped attendees think through how to tackle some of the tough issues of our day without being tackled by them, and how we could challenge the culture yet keep the door open for the gospel message.

If you missed out on this opportunity, no worries! We are offering a recording of the event for you to listen to at your convenience! Click HERE to watch "Lunch With a Purpose" with Dr. James Garlow.

Dr. Garlow is the author of Well Versed: Biblical Answers to Today's Tough Questions—scripture-based guide for Christians looking for answers, reassurance, and resources on topics including Israel, terrorism, marriage, debt, taxes, abortion, minimum wage, bioethics, the role of government, war, Islam, entertainment, and many more. Get your copy of Well Versed using the information provided below:

Here We Go Again...

Again this year Wisconsin Governor Tony Evers has chosen, in open support of the LGBTQ community and its agenda, to fly the so-called “rainbow flag” over the state capitol. Last year, the first year Evers was in office, was also the first year in the state’s history that any flag other than the US flag, the state flag and a POW flag was raised over the seat of government. The governor has issued a proclamation declaring June as LGBTQ pride month and in an accompanying Executive Order, ordered the “pride” flag to be flown over the capitol until June 30.

Last year our organization conducted a petition drive over this issue, resulting in 10,000 signed petitions being delivered to the governor’s office, asking him to remove the flag that divisively recognizes a small minority. Elections really do have consequences. Evers has a right to make such decisions, and citizens have a right to object and to vote.

WHAT YOU CAN DO:
►Call Governor Evers and let him know your opinion about the so-called "pride" flag hoisted over our beautiful Wisconsin State Capitol. The Governor may be reached at: Madison Office:  (608) 266-1212 or Milwaukee Office:  (414) 227-4344.
►Send Governor Evers a message via his official website - click HERE
►Share this information with others. Be a friend and forward this email to friends and family. Encourage them to sign up for our weekly E-newsletter HERE for up-to-date information regarding marriage, family, life and religious freedom in the Badger State and beyond.

Renewed Push for TeleMed Abortions

During the COVID-19 situation, abortion advocates have been pushing hard to expand access to chemical abortions via what is called “telemedicine,” meaning the doctor prescribes the abortion-inducing drug online without ever examining the woman or conducting an ultrasound to confirm gestational age. Chemical abortions utilize the powerful RU-486 which the FDA has approved for pregnancies up to ten weeks. Beyond that time, the potent drug has resulted in significant numbers of incomplete abortions, many of which required follow-up surgical abortions.

Julaine Appling, WFA president, says, "News like this makes me extremely grateful that during the Walker administration we passed a law banning TeleMed abortions in our state. This is yet another reminder that elections have significant consequences. What makes the push for chemical abortions worse, is that all of this risk to women who go that route has been either ignored in the mainstream media or vastly underreported. I see nothing at pro-woman in that."
