There was big news last week in the fight for the U.S. Senate, both in Washington, D.C. and Kentucky.

**In Washington, D.C., the #2 Democrat in the U.S. Senate, Dick Durbin, decided to call it quits and not run for re-election**. That follows retirement announcements from three other Senate Democrats (!), including some from critical swing states.

**And back here in Kentucky, I just got my first official competitor** in a race that we expect to be long, tough and costly.

**If you’re wondering what the connection is, let me explain…**

Senate Democrats are running for the hills because the American people see through their radical agenda and unhinged Trump hatred. Their polls are a dumpster fire, and they know it.
