Hi John,

Last week Doug Burgum, Trump's interior secretary, launched the biggest public-lands destruction plan we've ever seen.

Canada lynx, jaguars, grizzlies, sage grouse, San Joaquin kit foxes, and countless other species would all be at risk of seeing their homes destroyed. We'll go to court to stop it.

Please stand with us now with a gift to the Future for the Wild Fund. Thanks to anonymous champions of wildlife, your gift will be matched.

Burgum is so eager to sell off public lands that he wants to flout federal law. Big Oil and other fossil fuel industries can't wait to get their hands on the wild.

For him public lands are a balance sheet — and habitat for endangered species is a line item to be sold off for profit.

But the wild we cherish is priceless. The destruction that Trump, Burgum and their corporate sponsors want to unleash can't be tolerated.

Trump's bogus energy emergency is being used as cover to plunder habitat. Yet the real emergencies are the extinction and climate crises.

If Burgum gets his wish, mining projects as far afield as Minnesota and Arizona could put Canada lynx and jaguars at risk. Imperiled species like sage grouse would see their habitat in the plains filled with oil wells. Grizzlies' forest home would be logged and bulldozed.

"Drill, drill, drill" is a recipe for extinction. It's also a theft of our public lands and a profound betrayal of public trust.

The Center for Biological Diversity was created to fight for species and wild places. To keep species safe and public lands intact, we'll fast-track our resistance to this plan — straight to court.

And we need you with us.

Because the forces we're up against are so ruthless, please start a monthly donation to sustain our defense of the natural world.
