John, Republicans are still too scared to face their constituents. Pathetic, I know.
But while they destroy people’s lives behind closed doors, Senator Chris Murphy and I are continuing to show up for people who are being failed by their own representatives.
Last week, we held a town hall in a North Carolina district where the Republican representative hasn’t just REFUSED to hold town halls — he’s actively told his colleagues not to hold them either.
Meanwhile, their constituents are watching their healthcare, retirement security, and job protections get stripped away to make room for billionaire tax breaks.
People are angry. They should be. And they deserve better than silence.
So Chris Murphy and I are bringing the conversation directly to them.
From civic centers to union halls, we’re creating spaces for real dialogue, and pushing for real solutions. These town halls aren’t just symbolic. They’re where we organize, listen, and build power together.
That’s what democracy looks like when the doors aren’t locked.
But these stops don’t plan themselves. They take time, staff, and resources to reach the places that have been most ignored. That’s why I’m asking for your help today.
Will you chip in so we can expand this tour and meet more people where they are — especially in the districts where their own reps won’t?
