Updates to Disaster Recovery Centers and County One-Stop Permitting Centers

As our communities continue the ongoing journey from recovery to rebuilding, *Disaster Recovery Centers* [ [link removed] ] remain available to *assist residents*. Beginning *Thursday, May 1*, County Departments represented in-person at these Centers will continue to include:

* Registrar-Recorder/County Clerk

Property owners who opted *"out"* of the government-run program, choosing to hire private contractors for fire debris removal, can receive an Eaton and Palisades Fire Debris Removal permit via the County’s EPIC-LA system [ [link removed] ]. This permit allows home and business owners—and their authorized private contractors—to manage their own debris removal efforts while ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal safety and environmental standards. If you have concerns over how private contractors are hauling debris, you can file formal complaints on The Works app [ [link removed] ] or through the Opt-Out Fire Debris Removal Permits Hotline:1-888-479-7328. The hotline is open Monday – Friday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.
