I’m sorry to bother you, folks.

I know you’ve been receiving a lot of emails from my team lately, but if you’ll give me just a few minutes of your time, I’ll explain why.

I’m a top GOP target next year. The Republican Senate campaign arm is targeting Virginia — they think they can defeat me to expand their majority in Washington.

To make matters worse, we need to be prepared for Elon Musk and his allies to target me too. That means we have a lot of work to do if we want to keep up with the millions of dollars they’re going to spend in this race.

And that work starts now. Not next year. Not next month. Not next week. If we want to stop the Republicans trying to defeat me, we have to hit our end-of-month goal in just two days — and every benchmark after that.
