Stonewall Democratic Club of New York City.
Founded in 1986 as the first citywide LGBT Democratic organization in NYC, we advocate for our community through political organizing and action. Congressman Jerry Nadler has spent his entire career fighting alongside us for justice and equality.

Jerry has been outspoken on transgender rights and inclusiveness. He was the first Representative to ever speak on the House Floor in support of anti-discrimination protections for transgender people, and now he is condemning ICE for their mistreatment of transgender migrants — specifically addressing the wrongful deaths of Roxsana Hernández Rodriguez and Johana Medina León.
Last year marked the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, which sparked our organization, and Jerry has worked as hard as he can to honor the spirit of our movement by overseeing the passage of the Equality Act and introducing the Justice in Policing Act to ensure police are held accountable for their actions nationwide.
No matter the political climate or potential backlash, Jerry has continually used his platform as Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee to advocate for us here in New York and across the country.
Jerry has been an incredible leader in NYC’s LGBTQ+ community, and I know he will continue to advocate on our behalf.
He is an invaluable ally who will not be deterred by any obstacle.
