As a registered nurse, Lauren understands that barriers to health care like high costs and expensive co-pay requirements create life-threatening inequities that could be avoided through high-quality, affordable care.

🩺 Even before she ran for Congress, Lauren was committed to ensuring that all families could receive high-quality, affordable health care.

🤰🏾Once she came to Congress, she prioritized bringing more attention to the ongoing Black maternal mortality crisis – so she co-founded the Black Maternal Health Caucus to advance policy solutions to end the disparity in care faced by Black and Brown women.

💰 Now, she’s pushing Congress to build on our historic progress and pass the Health Care Affordability Act of 2025, which would permanently lower health care costs for millions of Americans.
