- CPRA - California Privacy Rights Act, a pending ballot initiative that makes more changes to California's current data privacy law.
- Section 230, Communications Decency Act - a federal law that deals with re-posting or publishing third-party information and legal claims on authorship, and has been called the most important law protecting internet speech.
- COPRA - Consumer Privacy Rights Act, a bill introduced in Congress.
- USCDPA - United States Consumer Data Privacy Act, another Congressional bill.
