May Day Strong: Show up for people over profits
|
Dear Friend,
Across the country -- from the fruit fields of California to classrooms in Chicago, from kitchens in Queens to loading docks in Atlanta -- working people are rising up.
Together, we are demanding stronger neighborhoods, safer communities, and better wages for all working families. Collectively, we are fighting for a society where our public water and public schools take precedence over private profits, health care is prioritized over hedge funds, and affordable housing is valued more than homelessness.
This is May Day!
On May 1 -- May Day, also known as International Workers’ Day -- people are rising again to stop the corporate and billionaire takeover of our freedoms.
You can find an event near you here.
May Day 2025 will commemorate the sacrifices of workers who fought for rights and freedoms like the eight-hour workday, with actions in more than 100 cities. We’ll carry on the legacy of those workers by fighting for a United States that is more fair, just, equitable, and free for all its people -- and not just a chosen few.
There are already tons of events on the map. And if you don’t see one nearby, you can start one. Or attend the virtual rally. This is going to be another powerful movement moment -- trust me, you don’t want to miss it.

Trump and his billionaire profiteers are trying to create a race to the bottom -- on wages, on benefits, on dignity itself.
On April 5, millions of people like you showed up in the streets to say Hands Off! This May Day, we keep the fight going -- and make clear what we’re fighting for: a world where people, not profits, come first.

P.S. May Day will be a big moment -- and it’ll take all of us to turn it into a movement. If you haven’t already, sign up for the Rise for Freedom trainings happening every Thursday evening (except for May Day!) for the next few weeks.

Corporate Accountability stops transnational corporations from devastating democracy, trampling human rights, and destroying our planet. We are building a world rooted in justice where corporations answer to people, not the other way around -- a world where every person has access to clean water, healthy food, a safe place to live, and the opportunity to reach their full human potential.
