Hey John, it’s John.
Today is Workers Memorial Day. It’s a day to remember the workers who were injured, disabled, or lost their lives just doing their jobs.
Today, we honor the folks who clocked in and never made it home. And the best way to do that is by taking action.
Every time we talk about a worker who died on the job, we *need* to talk about corporate greed – and how it can lead to unsafe conditions, faulty equipment, exhausting hours, and little to no protections for the folks who actually do the work.
So what's the main thing that can keep workers safe? One word: Unions.
They help workers collectively bargain for fair contracts, fair wages, and safe working conditions.
That’s why I always say: The Union Way of Life is sacred. And I’ll never stop fighting to protect it.
But Trump and his billionaire friends are attacking the Union Way of Life right now. From stripping nearly a million federal workers of their union membership to looking to their Project 2025 playbook that includes:
🚨 Letting corporations secretly union-bust behind closed doors
❌ Allowing employers to ditch union contracts midway through
🛑 Letting states ban unions altogether
🤬 Gutting overtime + wage protections
...they want to break unions and make CEOs richer.
They want to divide and conquer, but they don't know who they're messing with. So while Trump tries to push his union-busting Project 2025 agenda, I'll keep fighting for a future where your skills are valued the way they should be.
I want every nurse, steelworker, teacher, cement mason, contractor – every single working person, whether you're in a union or you're still fighting for one – to know: I got your back. Always will.
Because I know this isn’t just about jobs. It’s about justice, and safety. It’s about the survival of working families. So as we remember the workers we’ve lost, we honor them by fighting every damn day.
John, if you're in this with me, and you want to help protect the Union Way of Life, would you pitch in a few bucks ahead of my end-of-month fundraising deadline so we can keep fighting for working folks in PA + across the country?
