Dear Friend,
Three weeks from now, Prime Minister Netanyahu will be free to begin moving forward with formal annexation in the West Bank. Only intense domestic and international pressure can prevent that from happening -- and stave off a disaster for Israeli democracy, Palestinian rights and prospects for peace.
That’s why J Street has been putting everything we’ve got into our Stop Annexation campaign, working alongside our Israeli partners to mobilize opposition from members of Congress, Jewish communal leaders and candidates for office.
With time running out and Netanyahu not only doubling down on annexation, but openly pledging to deny equal rights to Palestinians within annexed territory, we need your help to keep this fight going and increase the pressure. [1]

No one can fully predict the harm that would befall Israelis and Palestinians as a result of annexation. We've all seen warnings about the risk to regional peace treaties and concerns about violence breaking out in the West Bank. [2,3]
Whether or not these warnings are borne out, one thing is clear: By moving forward with annexation, the state of Israel would be taking further steps down a road paved with injustice and inequality. A situation in which Israel permanently rules over Palestinians without equal rights or a path forward toward a viable state cannot be described as democracy.
So all of us who care about Israel and the rights of Palestinians need to keep fighting through July 1 to keep up the pressure and prevent this nightmare scenario.
Can we count on your support?

Thank you for standing up for the democratic values that underpin the US-Israel relationship, for Israel's future as a democratic homeland for the Jewish people and for the civil rights and freedoms of millions of Palestinians.
