Hello Democrats,

This Thursday, a coalition across Indian River County invites you to join us in protesting the billionaire takeover and demanding accountability. We hope you will RSVP HERE ([link removed]) to join us for a May Day protest and participate in one of the following sign making workshops.

WE ARE THE MANY. THEY ARE THE FEW. THIS IS MAY DAY. JOIN US.
Sign Up for May Day! ([link removed])
We will gather this Thursday, May 1, 2025, from 5:00–6:30 p.m. at the corner of 58th Ave. and SR 60 in Vero Beach, as we stand united against the billionaire takeover and demand accountability.

Ahead of the protest, the following two sign-making workshops will be hosted by our coalition of organizations:

Surge4Democracy is hosting a Make a Sign, Take a Sign for the May Day Protest (drop in event) ([link removed][0]=AZUFQNV4I22qwIefKOaM2fvy53dOEvDzyc-ZPMHTzI_6icALjYUlt556sC0mH15qV2KE8xKfBJZHKgkm4iBXNCDEkIQXgd9_scE0Pyt7vdQFElui3y0S6tjwSdtJdnGcGOURkGxKFfxn5dO1GyE8c0W48Ylc2fr9jWMzin7ItJaabQ&__tn__=-UK-R) on Tuesday, April 29, from 2-7 p.m. at The Courthouse Executive Center "courtroom" - downtown Vero across from Pocahontas Park (2145 14th Ave). Supplies provided - just bring your passion, spirit and ideas.

The Democrats of Indian River, the Young Democrats of Indian River and the Democratic Club of Indian River are uniting to host a Sign-Making Workshop on Wednesday, April 30, from 1:00–7:00 p.m. at the Democrats of Indian River Headquarters. Feel free to bring your own supplies such as poster boards, markers, and paint, but we will also be providing materials at the office.

Across the country, working people—laborers, parents, immigrants, educators, students, and neighbors—are rising up to demand stronger, safer, and more dignified communities. We are calling for fully funded schools, healthcare, and housing for all; the protection of Medicaid, Social Security, and essential programs; an end to attacks on immigrants, Black, Indigenous, and trans people; and action to end gun violence.

Please remember: our action is rooted in a strict commitment to nonviolence and de-escalation.

Volunteer Opportunity: Protest Mobilization Call Shifts

Volunteer in the office this Tuesday and Wednesday to help make calls to people who haven't signed up for the protest. Stop by anytime between 10:00 AM and 4:00 PM. Scripts and all necessary info will be provided. Wednesday volunteers, lease come before 1:00 PM if you can, as our sign-making workshop starts at 1:00 PM.

Thank you for your support!
