I wanted to be sure you saw the message from my team yesterday, so I’ve forwarded it below.
The truth is, it’s not just our campaign’s fundraising that’s hit a slump. Since Trump’s chaotic tariff announcements, there’s been a big drop-off in grassroots fundraising:
This graph shows all donations to every campaign in the country through ActBlue, and you can see that the slump coincides directly with Trump’s tariff announcement.
These chaotic economic policies are a direct attack on New Mexico specifically, where a huge portion of our economy relies on trade.
And this unexpected downturn in grassroots fundraising hurts campaigns like ours that rely on grassroots contributions.
So I know that not everyone is in a place to give right now, and that’s 100% ok. But if you are, please consider pitching in $5 or whatever you can to help us reach our goal of 20,000 donations before April is over.
Together, we can change the game for New Mexico and build a state where every family can thrive.
Be fierce,
Deb

We’re going to level with you: our grassroots fundraising has hit a slump.
And with a GOP opponent entering this race for Governor of New Mexico, we need to catch up. That’s why we set a goal to bring in 20,000 donations before April ends.
Our campaign to elect Deb and win a better future for New Mexicans is powered by everyday people.
Which means when our fundraising slows down, so does our ability to fund our plan to hire staff, organize up and down our state, and run ads to push back against attacks.
We set this goal to get back on track – not just for April, but for everything that comes next.
Deb’s running to change the game for New Mexico and build a state where every family has what they need to thrive. But she can’t do it alone.
Thank you, and more soon!
Team Deb
