John, let there be no doubt: We are in a constitutional crisis.

Donald Trump’s immigration ‘enforcement’ tactics are making me sick to my stomach.

It does not matter where you were from. It does not matter that you’re legally here. Silence, keeping your head down will not save you.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia was a legal resident, picking up his child.

Andry Hernandez Romero was a legal asylum seeker, doing their job.

Children - full-fledged citizens, one with cancer - were forced onto a flight deporting their mother.

All have been wrongly sent to countries they don’t live in, some to face danger they’d previously escaped. Each time, Trump and his cronies are refusing to correct this potentially fatal error, or blatantly lying to us about the situation.

And these are just a few of the most egregious cases we’ve learned about: As you read this, Californians of Southeast Asian descent are being illegally detained and prepped for deportation during ‘routine’ check-ins.

Trump and his racist aides have decided the only goal is getting people of color out of the country, through illegal and sloppy tactics. And doing so broadly, so rushed that we forget the humanness of the victims.

We must not look away. We cannot be quiet about this. The Trump administration is breaking the law, deporting people without due process and weaponizing ICE for political gain.

If you’re as sick to your stomach as I am, I urge you to sign my pledge to protect our immigrant communities. We need to stop Trump from weaponizing ICE for his lawless, hateful raids.
