Dear Friend,
On June 18th, Race Forward will be hosting Building a Movement: A Virtual Town Hall with Minneapolis Organizers to hear directly from long-time activists building a movement to end police violence and systemic racism in our communities.
Race Forward stands in solidarity with the black and brown leaders and advocates in Minneapolis whose collective organizing has brought abolitionist strategies to the forefront of the national conversation, and as a result, sparked the call for institutions across the country to end their relationship with law enforcement.
Join us on June 18th at (5PM EST/4PM CST/ 2PM PST) to hear from our panel of organizers who will share perspectives and strategies from the events happening in Minneapolis.
Click here to register for this free virtual event.
The town hall will feature a discussion with:
- Elizer Darris, Organizer, Smart Justice, ACLU Minnesota
- Kandace Montgomery, Director, Black Visions Collective
- Ricardo Levins Morales, Activist, Healer, Artist
- Kevin Reese, Director of Criminal Justice, Voices for Racial Justice
* Tickets are free, however, donations are encouraged if you are attending on behalf of a large organization.
* Zoom information for the webinar will emailed a day before the event.
We look forward to seeing you for this timely and critical conversation.
In solidarity,
The Race Forward Team
