Team,
Governor Youngkin is running out of time to take action to protect birth control access.
As a reminder, the Right to Contraception Act would protect the right of people to use and doctors to prescribe contraception, including birth control pills, IUDs, emergency contraceptives, and more. After Governor Youngkin moved to completely gut legislation, pro-abortion rights candidates fought back and reinstated the bill's original language.
Governor Youngkin now has until May 2nd, the veto deadline, to either sign the legislation or veto it altogether.
As Republicans in Virginia, including the GOP frontrunner running for Governor this November, Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears, and nationwide, work to block this legislation, it leaves one to wonder, why are Republicans so adamant on blocking a woman’s access to birth control?
We don’t want to wait to find out. That is why we need your help in this final week ahead of the veto deadline to fight back.
Governor Youngkin has one last chance to do the right thing and protect access to birth control. Help support our work to advocate for this legislation by pitching in $25 or more immediately →
