Zach Bell is a chef in North Palm Beach, Florida, who has been working
with No Kid Hungry for 20 years. He feels personally responsible for
supporting kids in his community who can't afford the same
nutritious food as the high-end clientele at his restaurant.
"There's a food desert literally a quarter of a mile west
of an area where people have everything," Zach says. "It
grates on you that that exists, and you want to do what you can to
make sure people can get the resources that are needed."
Over the years, Zach's passion to help more kids avoid hunger
has taken him far beyond his community in Florida. He has traveled
with No Kid Hungry to Washington, D.C., to join meetings with
lawmakers, where he's advocated for programs that provide food
for kids.
