Dear Neighbors,
Thank you to the 500+ Minnesotans who packed our Minneapolis Town Hall with U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar last week and made their voices heard. The energy in the room was palpable.
It's inspiring to see our Minneapolis neighbors coming together to stand up against the chaos and cruelty happening in Washington. Here in the Minnesota House, I’m committed to fighting every single day to protect our neighbors from dangerous and regressive policies.
As we work toward balancing a state budget under a divided House, this will mean potentially long floor sessions at the Capitol, which means we are rescheduling our Senate District 61 Town Hall with Rep. Long and Sen. Dibble– previously planned for this evening – to Sunday, May 4 at 5 p.m. We will meet the Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church (511 Groveland Ave) in the Border Chapel.
This will be an opportunity to ask questions and share your thoughts and stories about what matters to you.
I hope to see you at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist Church on Sunday!
Sincerely,
Katie Jones State Representative
