It was great to see so many BYD members at our general body meeting last Wednesday! We got to hear from two Comptroller candidates -- Councilmember Justin Brannan and Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine -- about their vision for overseeing the city's finances.
We also got to hear from six mayoral candidates who responded to our request for video submissions (you can watch the submission here ([link removed]) !) Finally, we considered constitutional amendments that will allow BYD to pursue a ranked endorsement process for the mayoral election. This meeting was super informative as we prepare to kick-off our endorsement process for citywide elections next month!
Sign Up ([link removed]) to be a Delegate at the Next New York State Young Dems Convention ASAP (before May 1st)!
BYD is looking for 17 total delegates to come up to Westchester for the NY State Convention for the weekend of May 16–18 (attendees must be BYD dues-paying members). This will be a great opportunity to learn more about state politics, connect with fellow young dems, and vote on the New York State young dems platform! Make sure to sign up ([link removed]) by Thursday, May 1st!
