Dear SPUC supporter,
Yesterday was the 58^th anniversary of the passing of the Abortion Act.

10 million babies have been killed in the UK since 1967.

For nearly sixty years, the abortion industry has killed babies for profit, and callous politicians have sacrificed innocents in pursuit of ideology.

Each one of these precious babies was a unique and irreplaceable human being. Each one was a life with untold potential and deserved to be loved.

But their lives were ended before they were held, or saw a human face, or heard someone tell them that they were loved.

This is a tragedy on such a scale that words fail me, and the evil is so great that our minds can barely comprehend it.

Since 1967, the British political establishment has been responsible for killing more innocents than the Nazis killed during the Holocaust.

And now many in the political class want to extend the killing even further.

Leading MPs are determined to radically expand abortion access by striking down existing restrictions and removing abortion entirely from the criminal law.

By the end of this Parliament, killing babies at the beginning of life, and killing the sick and elderly at the end of life, could both be considered as “healthcare.”

“Assisted suicide” and “abortion decriminalisation” have been the goals of the death lobby for decades.

Time and again they have introduced legislation in the House of Commons.

Time and again SPUC has defeated them.

And now we must do it all again.

The abortion lobby is planning to hijack the upcoming Crime and Policing Bill to bring about abortion decriminalisation.

This law should be about making innocent people safer, but the abortion extremists want to use it to kill babies.

During a debate on the Bill last month Labour MP Tonia Antoniazzi called for decriminalisation and accused police of investigating women under what she called a “cruel and outdated law”.

But the abortion industry is the cause of the recent uptick in police investigations.

Under the notorious “pills by post scheme” abortionists have been sending deadly abortion drugs to women, without verifying if the pills would be used to kill babies over the 24-week legal limit.

This murderous scheme was first introduced in 2020 by disgraced Health Secretary Matt Hancock to ensure that the killing of unborn babies could go unabated during the Covid lockdown.

The abortion lobby was allowed to continue profiting from infant deaths, even at the height of Covid-19 restrictions.

And now, instead of taking responsibility, they are shifting the blame onto the few remaining legal safeguards that provide protection to some unborn babies.

The abortion lobby must be held to account for their killing and their lies.

Will you help SPUC to bring them down?

The only thing standing between the abortion lobby and hundreds of thousands more innocent babies is you.

With your help SPUC has the grassroots lobbying power to make sure that any attempt to highjack the Crime and Policing legislation fails.

And everything that SPUC does is dependent on the gifts of ordinary supporters.

Our political class has abandoned unborn children but tens of thousands of SPUC supporters will never forget and will never stop fighting for life.

And we know that our methods are working.

Earlier this year the fanatical abortion MP Stella Creasy warned activists that anyone who thinks abortion laws are secure in Britain “needs to wake up.”

And Rachael Clarke, Head of Advocacy at abortion provider BPAS, warned that “no one is beyond the risk of what might happen.”

After fifty years of prayer, work and sacrifice, the US pro-life movement overturned Roe v Wade and abortion is now ending in state after state.

These incredible pro-life victories in the United States are keeping British abortionists awake at night.

Stella Creasy provided a simple explanation for her fear that abortion will be outlawed in Britain: “SPUC lobbies hard”.

SPUC has tens of thousands of supporters and 60 local branches. This people’s army, led by our professional teams in London, Glasgow, and Belfast, is having a devastating impact on the abortion movement.

But we must grow stronger, and we must grow NOW.

The abortion lobby is rich in money, and worldly power. The pro-life movement is rich in love, and spiritual blessings.

But we can’t achieve everything we need by love alone; we need love expressed in actions.

The abortion lobby is going on the attack.

Our counterattack must be faster, stronger, and fiercer - or more babies will die.

Will you support SPUC’s fight-back today?

Gifts of £25, £50, and £100 fuel our fight for life – they power the actions that save babies’ lives.

And larger gifts, of £500, £1,000, or £5,000, will ensure our lobbying power grows faster, and that victory comes sooner.
* £500 will fund a public meeting to mobilise supporters in a local constituency.
* £1,000 will make it possible to print 50,000 campaign leaflets to bring the truth about abortion to households nationwide.
* £5,000 will allow us to produce a high-quality academic briefing exposing abortion industry lies and to send a copy to every MP in the country.

Are you able to make one of these projects possible today?

As I travel the country speaking to our branches and supporters, I am often asked how I find the strength to keep going in the face of so much evil.

My truthful answer is that I am energised by the love and dedication of our supporters. It truly is love for unborn children that keeps us going in the face of the heartless evil of the abortionists and the career politicians who support them.
Some such supporters, on Saturday, at one of our many SPUC Pro-life Chains.
Even now, I believe that through the mercy of God and the courageous love of SPUC’s supporters, this terrible darkness can be overcome.

Thank you for being a light at the darkest time of the night,
John Deighan
Chief Executive
P.S. Every day that passes, the death lobby pushes on towards its two deadly goals: assisted suicide and abortion decriminalisation. A donation today means our team can put your gift to work right away – building resistance where it matters most. There is no time to spare.
