Earlier this year, I sounded the alarm: the Trump-Musk administration is handing over the personal data of millions of Americans — including students, seniors, and veterans — to DOGE. A billionaire-run operation with zero accountability and global conflicts of interest.

We’re talking Social Security numbers. Tax records. Disability status. All handed off to Elon Musk’s cronies, with no oversight and no consent.

And while this chaos unfolds in Washington, Harrisburg Republicans are doing what they do best: absolutely nothing.

Every year, my office schedules hundreds of appointments for seniors to have their taxes prepared by AARP volunteers. Most seniors we talk to are afraid of identity theft and other scams. And sadly, just in my office I have seen hundreds of thousands of retirement dollars lost to scammers. With Musk and his untrained minions raiding federal departments there is no guarantee that the sensitive personal data that our seniors entrust to the government is safe.

And it’s not just seniors. Veterans, students, and working families deserve to know their data is protected, and that their state government has their back when billionaires try to seize power.

We can’t afford to wait for the GOP to do the right thing. But with your help, I’m going to keep pushing for leadership — for the people of Pennsylvania.
