** A Private Tour of The Jewish Museum of New York
Wendy Evans
Wednesdays, 10 - 11:30 AM
July 1, 8, 15
------------------------------------------------------------
"Travel" to The Jewish Museum of New York , the first Jewish museum in the US, and the oldest still operating. With more than 30,000 objects, it has the largest collection of art and Jewish cultural objects anywhere outside Israel covering 4000 years of art and Jewish culture. Explore antiquities to contemporary art, ceremonial art to ephemera. As well as artworks by Jewish artists, we'll see works for Jewish rituals, portraits of Jewish people, and illustrations of stories from Jewish scripture by artists who were not Jewish.
This is a collection well worth exploring.
