BREAKING: Supreme Court to Decide on Defunding Planned Parenthood

NO citizen should be forced to fund an abortion giant like Planned Parenthood. But a federal court has forced South Carolina taxpayers to do exactly that.

In 2018, South Carolina's governor ordered that abortion facilities are unqualified to receive Medicaid funding, consistent with state law prohibiting the use of taxpayer funds to pay for abortions.

Planned Parenthood wasn't happy.

So they sued the state in federal court, and the court forced the state to restore Planned Parenthood's funding. Then the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit affirmed that bad result—three times.

States should be free to exclude activist, multi-billion-dollar organizations like Planned Parenthood from public funding and direct limited funds to healthcare providers that serve women WITHOUT peddling abortion.

Thankfully, the Supreme Court recently heard oral argument in this case. And the Court's decision could free states to prohibit abortion facilities from receiving hard-earned taxpayer dollars. We should hear its decision by the end of June.

This case has the potential to affect our rights as taxpayers––and by giving states the freedom to stop funding Planned Parenthood, it has the potential to save the lives of countless unborn babies.

This is a tremendous opportunity to help ensure that the American people don't have to fund profit-driven abortion businesses like Planned Parenthood.
