Dear supporter,
“Devote yourselves to prayer,
being watchful and thankful.”
Colossians 4:2
This is an anxious time for many around the world. We don’t know how much longer the coronavirus outbreak will last. But we do know that God remains sovereign over all. We can say “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust” (Psalm 91:2). Ask God that, in his mercy, a vaccine will be found soon

In the UK, as elsewhere, the pandemic dominates the news, but there are other tragic developments to be aware of:
- A very liberal abortion regime was recently imposed on Northern Ireland. The Province had some of the world’s best protections for women and the unborn but now has far more liberal abortion laws than the rest of the UK. Around the same time, London lawmakers also imposed same-sex marriage there.
- There are plans to make divorce much easier in England and Wales. Many more spouses could be abandoned with little or no warning.
- Christians and churches around the UK have been facing unlawful barriers to preaching the Gospel. We are busy helping them.
There is also some good news. We give thanks to God that destructive transgender ideology is being increasingly opposed – particularly in schools.
For more on these, and other developments, download the Pray for the UK leaflet.
We continue to do all we can to protect Christian truth and liberty in the public sphere. Thank you for all your support. Please continue to pray for the UK and for the work of The Christian Institute.
Yours in Christ,
Ciarán Kelly Deputy Director (Staff and Communications) The Christian Institute
