Did you know that Michigan is the only place in the world with a floating post office?
It’s true. It’s also the only floating ZIP code in the United States: 48222.
Now as much as I love factoids about Michigan, I know your time is precious, and I also know you’re probably wondering when I’m going to get to the point.
But Michigan is the point. Consider this a love letter to Michigan, if you will.
There are few other places where you can grow up around just so much ingenuity and innovation. I saw it firsthand from my parents, who owned their own landscaping business. The grease, grime, and grit that went along with it was pure Michigan.
Michigan’s ingenuity created the middle class, and it’s been the backbone of our country’s middle class. It’s launched cultural movements and music legends. Its vast natural landscapes have provided solace and adventure for generations of Americans. And in Oakland County, Michigan, I had the sort of upbringing any kid deserves, all while learning the value of hard work.
I love Michigan and its people. That’s why I’m running to fight for my home state in the U.S. Senate. Michiganders – and people around the nation – deserve so much better than Donald Trump’s unchecked chaos and uncertainty. They deserve stability and a brighter future.
That’s why I’m so determined to win and help Democrats take back the Senate majority so we can serve as the strongest check possible on Trump’s unhinged agenda. I’m counting on you, friend, to help me win.
