Dear Jack,
Today is National Help a Horse Day — a great opportunity to honor and protect America’s wild horses and burros. So today, we’re asking you to join our growing herd of volunteers who lend their voice and dedicate their time to our cause.
Our wild herds are facing urgent challenges. Dangerous, unnecessary helicopter roundups are set to begin again this summer and thousands of horses, burros and foals will be in harm’s way.
But there’s hope — and it starts with you. Will you become a Volunteer Ambassador with American Wild Horse Conservation?
As a Volunteer Ambassador, you’ll help us:
- Raise awareness in your community.
- Connect with elected officials and decision-makers.
- Advocate for humane, in-the-wild conservation strategies.
It’s flexible, impactful, and built for anyone who’s ready to turn their compassion into action. Whether you have a few hours a month or a strong voice online, you can help create lasting change.
On this National Help a Horse Day, we hope you’ll join our growing grassroots team. The wild horses and burros of the American West are counting on us — and together, we can protect them.
With gratitude,

Caylyn Mira
