Delivering Real Results: Violent Criminals Brought to Justice

It’s a welcome relief to have an administration in the White House that treats violent criminals like what they are—violent criminals. Since President Trump took office, three of the FBI’s Top 10 Most Wanted have been arrested. This is no accident. It’s a direct result of leadership that puts law and order first, and the dedication of federal and local law enforcement officials who risk their lives every day to keep us safe.

Now, they have their sights set on their next target: an MS-13 kingpin with a string of violent offenses under his belt.

Thom was proud to have led the charge in the Senate to confirm both FBI Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi, whose leadership is already producing results. Thom calls their work part of a broader mission—restoring the FBI’s role as the gold standard in American law enforcement.

Legislative Highlights: Thom Introduces Legislation to Help Small Businesses Affected by Helene

Hurricane Helene left a devastating trail of destruction through Western North Carolina, especially for the small businesses that form the backbone of our local economy. Senator Tillis is committed to helping these businesses not just recover, but provide the resources they need to build back even stronger. As Thom put it, we have a responsibility to help these businesses rebuild stronger than before. He recently introduced the Helene Recovery Small Business Act and the Loans in Our Neighborhoods (LIONs) Act of 2025 before the Senate to continue delivering real relief to the people of Western North Carolina.

These bills aim to streamline the process for small businesses to access the funding and resources they need to rebuild and restore what was lost.
