Next week marks 100 days since Trump took office for the second time. Since day one, he and his allies have worked to put the ultra-conservative Project 2025 playbook into action to slash reproductive health care, chip away at our fundamental freedoms, and attack democracy.

In just 100 days, the second Trump administration has:
* Frozen Title X funds to reproductive health care providers, forcing some Planned Parenthoods to close and leaving thousands of people without access to care like birth control and cancer screenings
* Pardoned anti-abortion extremists who were found guilty of harassing and intimidating abortion providers and patients—and then instructed the DOJ to not pursue future prosecutions
* Dropped a federal lawsuit ( U.S. v. Idaho ) that could have protected emergency abortion care, leaving pregnant people at risk of delayed or denied health care, even in life-threatening situations
* Rescinded a Biden-era policy that reimbursed service members who are forced to for travel for abortion care and fertility treatments like IVF
* Announced massive budget cuts to the Department of Health and Human Services gutting reproductive health care and family planning programs, including ones working to solve the maternal mortality crisis
Their next target? Medicaid, the program that helps over 70 million Americans access health care.
Medicaid is a lifeline for millions of people—especially for women and pregnant people. It covers 75% of all publicly funded family planning services and has programs that provide essential care including birth control, maternal health care, STI screenings, and cancer screenings.
Even though 80% of Americans oppose it, Republicans are planning to make devastating funding cuts to Medicaid. They won't stop at banning abortion—they're also trying to decimate access to birth control and other reproductive health care in the process.
It comes down to this: Trump and the GOP would rather line the pockets of a few billionaires than protect the health and well-being of the 70+ million people who rely on Medicaid.
