From massive Hands Off protests to record-breaking Bernie rallies —
our movement is rising up nationwide to say NO to Trump and
Oligarchy. 

Momentum is building, and Our Revolution is bringing the fight right
to the oligarchs’ doorstep. The night before Tax Day, Our Revolution
activists paid a visit to the Tax Man: Trump’s Treasury Secretary
Scott Bessent.

We showed up at Bessent’s $12 million dollar mansion in Washington
D.C. and lit up a projector calling to Defund Oligarchs. [ [link removed] ]WATCH THE

Trump put a literal oligarch in charge of the IRS and he's on a
mission to deliver MASSIVE tax cuts to his fellow billionaires — paid
for by us of course and cuts to programs millions of us rely on.

Scott Bessent is a former hedge fund executive and Wall Street
insider now running the U.S. Treasury. He is decidedly on the side of
the oligarchs, saying concerns about oligarchy are just "class envy"
during his confirmation hearing.

He also opposes raising the federal minimum wage, claiming it would
“distort markets” and is pushing for fewer corporate regulations —
giving billionaires even more unchecked influence.

NO MEDICAID CUTS FOR WEALTHY TAX CUTS


Trump and his billionaire backers are trying to push through a budget
that would slash Medicaid in order to pay for massive tax cuts for
the wealthy.

We’re keeping the heat on GOP Reps, with our Citizen Action Team
members confronting many of them in the halls of Congress. For
example, [ [link removed] ]David Schweikert, who has 150,000 constituents who rely
on Medicaid, and [ [link removed] ]Rob Bresnahan, who has more than 250,000 — a
quarter of his constituents!

Vulnerable Republicans are getting nervous – and our direct
organizing paired with Bernie’s rallies in key red districts turned
up the heat even more, pushing 12 to publicly announce they will not
support the Medicaid cuts as part of Trump’s plan to hand trillions
in tax breaks to billionaires.

As Republicans gut vital services, attack our democracy, and serve
the billionaire class, GOP figures hide from constituents — refusing
to hold real town halls or answer the tough questions.

We’re done waiting. It’s time to show up. On Monday, we joined
Congressman Ro Khanna for a town hall in Whitehouse, NJ — the
district of Rep. Tom Kean Jr. — to send a clear message that our
democracy belongs to us.

Trump and his lackeys think they can dismantle our government and
subvert our systems to serve the Oligarchy at our expense. They’re
wrong. We’re fighting back to ensure our economy and technology work
for the people, not just the billionaires.

Three of our candidates just won board of alder seats in St. Louis,
Missouri — where we got out the vote to build on the progressive
governing majority our movement has helped elect in recent cycles!

water, better housing, safety and more.

 

* In Ward 7, Alisha Sonnier is dedicated to youth and family
empowerment, equitable development, and housing as a human right.

 

* In Ward 3, Shane Cohn is a tireless advocate for our
neighborhoods, youth, and public resources.

Our progressive bloc in St. Louis - led by Board of Alders President
and Our Revolution Board Member Megan Green - have already
successfully pushed initiatives for labor, wages, direct democracy,

Congratulations to Barbara Lee — the next mayor of Oakland, CA!

Barbara was the first black woman in Northern California elected to
Congress, and she is a lifelong fighter for peace, poor and working
people, reproductive rights and so much more. 

“Barbara Lee’s victory didn’t come from high-priced consultants or
billionaire donors. It came from decades of service, community trust,
and organizing with and for the people of Oakland,” said Joseph
Geevarghese, Executive Director of Our Revolution. 

“That’s what builds movements. That’s what wins elections. And that’s
what our politics needs more of right now. The Democratic Party
should be looking to her example as a roadmap for how to win by
investing in people, not pandering to power.”

Our Revolution was proud to stand in her corner, mobilizing tens of
thousands by call and text as our local group OR East Bay knocked
doors on the ground in Oakland.

EARLY VOTING KICKS OFF IN TEXAS

Polls are open across Texas, and Our Revolution is mobilizing voters
for key down-ballot races ahead of Election Day May 3rd!

We’re proud to support grassroots leaders who are organizing in their

First up — Laura Cadena is running for City Council in Dallas. She
served in City Hall for eight years and understands how local
government can work hand-in-hand with the community.  

From cost of living and affordable housing to climate action and
sustainability, Laura is a champion on the issues that matter most.

Also in Dallas, Adam Bazaldua is running for re-election to city
council in District 7.

Adam chaired the Dallas Green Alliance before being elected in 2019.
He has served on committees for the environment, workforce education,
and economic development, and has brought bold leadership to City
Hall as Deputy Mayor Pro Tem.

In Fort Worth, Chris Nettles is up for re-election to City Council in
District 8.

Chris knows that local government must meet the needs of Fort Worth’s
growing population. He is working to expand public transportation,
increase affordable housing, grow good-paying jobs, and help the
houseless population in Fort Worth.

We surveyed more than 4,500 active Our Revolution supporters, and the
results show growing frustration with the Democratic Party
establishment.

As Bernie said: “If we waited on them to defeat Trumpism and move our
country forward, we'd be waiting forever. So it is up to us.”

There is clear momentum to transform the party from within—by
electing bold, grassroots challengers who will reject corporate PAC
money and take the fight directly to Trump and his enablers. Read the

“The voters we organize with are sounding the alarm: they want
fighters, not placeholders,” said Joseph Geevarghese, Our Revolution
executive director. 

“If the party establishment continues to sleepwalk through this
crisis, they’ll be replaced by a new generation of leaders who aren’t
afraid to take on the fight of our lives.”

The message is clear. People are done waiting while the stakes get
