We have a serious problem, and let’s be clear: this isn’t just about Common Dreams.

One thing we know about fascists and authoritarians is that they don’t loosen their grip in the face of capitulation, compliance, or submission. Now — as our reporting this week shows — they are openly coming for their perceived political enemies. This is an emergency moment. We must not cower.

Our work in the Common Dreams newsroom is about fighting back against the oligarchy’s authoritarian attacks on the progressive movement, our shared prosperity, and a better future for all of us. We must take a stand for the current generation and those to come.
