Hi John,
Recently, the decision was made to suspend most humanitarian projects under USAID. Regardless of whether you agree with the decision or not, the reality remains that many organizations and ministries are overwhelmed by the needs before them.
Now is our chance to take back the mandate given by God to His people. We need to stand in the gap and care for the poor, the oppressed and the marginalized.
Unto has never received funding from any government. We are mobilized and ready to respond. The needs are immense, but the opportunity for ministry is greater. Would you give generously to deliver humanitarian aid and share the hope of Jesus with those in crisis?
The demand for humanitarian assistance remains high. People around the world continue to face wars, political and economic instability, disasters, and more.
Local staff teams are requesting more aid than ever before to serve those who are suffering.
Because many of the places where people cannot access basic supplies are also closed to the gospel, this is an incredible opportunity to provide them with help AND the message of hope.
Currently, Unto is experiencing a shortfall in the funds needed to deliver 11 containers of aid to nine countries over the next four months. With all the upheaval in the world, delivery costs continue to rise. To reach suffering people in closed countries and other places with critically needed humanitarian aid, $134,000 is needed by May 31.
Without this funding, we risk canceling projects with missionaries who rely on humanitarian aid to help access unreached people groups and to share eternal hope. Items like meals, water filters, tarps for shelter, and more are essential in opening doors for ministry.
Because the aid has been donated or purchased at a discount, every $10 you give delivers $100 worth of lifesaving aid. That means your gift will go 10x as far to help refugees, disaster victims, impoverished families, and many others who are suffering.

Your generosity will enable ministry in difficult places. In one closed country in East Africa, more than 99% of people are considered unreached. Nearly three-quarters of the population also require humanitarian assistance.
Several years ago, one of our local partners, Ehab*, was forced to flee this closed country after his son was kidnapped. Sadly, he still does not know what has happened to his son. And only recently has Ehab been able to return to his home country.
Even now, his work is not safe or easy. He distributes aid in an area that is largely controlled by terrorists. But Ehab has a heart to reach his countrymen with the message of Jesus, and so he continues to serve in faith despite the risk.
Recently, while driving to distribute aid in a dangerous area, the security guards he had hired for protection urged him to stop the truck and turn around. It was getting dark, and they feared for their safety.
Ehab said, “Can we trust and believe God to protect us?”
Then he stopped the truck and prayed in front of everyone. It was a risky move as the security guards with him were not yet believers.
After praying, the anxiety among the group lifted. They were able to get aid into the area without incident, and the distribution continued as planned.
Now, people in this closed country are quietly coming to faith in Jesus as a result of this brave work. House churches are forming, and believers are growing. God is using your gifts of humanitarian aid to help unreached people hear about Him!
Would you give today to help ensure that every shipment of aid arrives on time so ministry can continue among the unreached?
Our teams will personally distribute the supplies you help send and build relationships with those in need. As opportunities are created, they will also share about Jesus.
Thank you for partnering with us to provide access to unreached people in closed countries and other places. Your support gives help and hope to those in critical need.
To reach the unreached,
Al Goff, President and CEO | Unto
P.S. Time is of the essence to ensure that ministry projects in closed countries and other areas do not get canceled. A total of $134,000 is needed by May 31. Please consider how you can help today!
