2. Today was Just Stop Oil's (JSO) last day of action: A group that spun out of XR and whose actions have brought great awareness. Thousands showed their solidarity today - online and on the streets.
As we reflect on JSO's final action, we're reminded of the sacrifices every activist makes. Since XR's first rebellion in 2019, the justice system has desperately attempted to destroy climate activism.
But they didn't account for our grit. It's rebels, like you, who are the beating heart of this movement. Even the planet can breathe a little easier knowing that climate activism is very much alive, planning and getting ready!

3. It's the last day of the RAF Lakenheath Peace Camp (Suffolk, UK) where, for the last two weeks, XR joined nearly 60 other groups.
A very striking action took place yesterday by a group of XR female, intersex, non-binary, and transgender folk (FINT) who rallied together to bare the truth. This action was symbolic on multiple levels, particularly how war and the climate crisis exacerbate gender-based violence.
Dr Charlie Gardener also joined us at the Peace Camp and shared how "militaries cause 5% of all emissions, which is more than aviation! And with climate change increasing the threat of violence locally, nationwide and globally, this [emissions] is only set to rise." He also reminded us "All life loses in war." |
