Everyday workers are the vanguard against fascism

Hey John,

Thursday, May 1st is International Workers Day - commonly called May Day.

Donald Trump and his billionaire buddies think the world belongs to them. They think every natural resource belongs to them. They think that our lives are disposable, if that means they make a bit more money. They view democracy as just another thing they can buy and ruin for the rest of us.

But we know that’s not true. The world is made by workers. Everything in our lives from the food we eat to the phones in our pockets is there because workers made it.

Join millions around the United States and find a May Day action near you, to tell the wannabe oligarchs of the world that they can shove it.

Elon Musk has never “created” a car. He didn’t even found Tesla, just bought it from other people. Donald Trump has never created anything in his life. These wealthy men simply have the wealth and power to take the credit for other people’s labor.

They’re trying to shut down our democracy, to strip our rights and give more money and power to corporations because they’re not content with their current disgusting levels of wealth.

Already, they have been testing just how much overreach they can get away with, seeing what people will tolerate without taking action back.

We can’t let them. We need to show up in the streets so they understand that there are more of us than there are of them, and that the world belongs to workers, not billionaire parasites.

We are powerful. We are united. And we are just getting started.

In Solidarity,

Team Sunrise
