June is a critical month for our progressive campaign. In just under three weeks, we’ll hit our next FEC fundraising deadline — meaning our opponents and the press will see just how much we’ve raised.
Whether we like it or not, that performance is a reflection on the ideals we’re fighting for. It’s seen as a gauge of the strength of a Congressman who’s fighting for Medicare for All, powerful action on climate change, important criminal legal reform, and so much more.
A powerful showing against our Trump-supporting opponent is absolutely critical here. In a recent interview, our opponent bragged that, “I have big donors, wealthy donors, and then high profile people and so, I have huge support on the back end and that’s why I decided I can take over this town.”
We couldn’t think of a more polar opposite to our campaign. With an average donation of just $13.09, we’re not fueled by big and wealthy donors. We’ve built this progressive movement with the support of working-class folks, and we’re proud of that.
If you’re experiencing COVID-19 related hardship, or have committed your donations to other organizations or causes already, we fully understand. We know that you’re committed to progressive causes and that you’ll help when you can, how you can.
In solidarity,
Team Ro
