The new Democratic National Committee (DNC) Chair is threatening to force David Hogg out of his elected position as a DNC Vice Chair, saying “If you want to challenge incumbents, you're more than free to do that, but just not as an officer of the DNC."

This after his organization promised to spend $20 million to engage in congressional primaries against "ineffective" Democrats who are not rising to the fight against Trump.

TAKE THE SURVEY: Is the DNC Chair right to attack David Hogg for wanting competitive Democratic primaries? The PCCC will share results with the media.

David Hogg, the 25-year old survivor of the Parkland school shooting, recently won a competitive DNC Vice Chair position. He did so by promising to help change the Democratic Party’s vibe to make it more appealing to young people and the public at large.

Now, the new DNC Chair is pushing to change the rules to require DNC officers like David to stay neutral in all Democratic primaries.

The DNC bylaws (which Hogg ran under to win his seat) already require officers to stay neutral in presidential races, where the DNC runs the debates, controls the calendar, and decides which delegates can vote at the national convention.

But the new proposal would ban Hogg from expressing preferences in congressional primaries that the DNC has no control over.

Thanks for being in the fight.
