Texas Dream Act: Protecting Undocumented Students’ Access to Higher Education Is Economic, Educational Imperative - The Texas Dream Act allows undocumented students who meet specific criteria—including graduating from a Texas high school, residency in the state for at least three years, and an affidavit of intent to apply for permanent residency—to qualify for in-state tuition rates. According to American Immigration Council research, beneficiaries of the Texas Dream Act have earned $33 billion more than they would have without a college degree, resulting in more than $28.5 billion in additional economic activity in Texas. If the Texas Dream Act is repealed by proposed legislation, Texas stands to lose more than $461 million annually in economic activity, including $244.4 million in lost wages and $216.9 million in diminished spending power.

Congressman Williams Introduces Resolution Backing the Second Amendment on National “2A Day” - In honor of National Second Amendment Day, Congressman Roger Williams introduced a resolution reaffirming the House of Representatives’ continued support for the Second Amendment and commending the Trump Administration’s actions to protect American gun owners by dismantling Biden’s infringements on our constitutional freedoms. “Our founding fathers fought to establish a nation where every citizen has the right to protect themselves, their property, and their family,” said Congressman Roger Williams. “For too long, the Biden Administration and radical leftists went to extreme lengths to criminalize law-abiding gun owners, jeopardizing the Second Amendment. My resolution reaffirms Congressional support for the Second Amendment and commends President Trump’s actions to protect American gun owners by dismantling Biden’s infringements on our constitutional freedoms.”

McCaul Applauds Termination of $64 Million Grant for Texas High Speed Rail Project - Congressman Michael McCaul praised the Trump administration's decision to revoke $63.9 million in federal funding for the controversial Texas High-Speed Rail project, originally funded by the Biden administration. McCaul called the project an "economic injustice," arguing it threatened Texas landowners with property loss and financial burden. He pledged to continue protecting taxpayer dollars and opposing infrastructure projects that jeopardize private land rights.
