The NRA's annual meeting – “the largest gathering of Second Amendment supporters in the country” – starts today, where they will tout a wall of guns and spread their ‘guns everywhere’ agenda.
This year, it’s happening in Atlanta; Georgia is a permitless carry state without universal background checks or an assault weapons ban. The NRA has the audacity to host its meeting in a state where thousands die due to gun violence every year, that has been ravaged by multiple mass shootings:
Mere months ago, in September, two children and two teachers were killed with an assault rifle and nine people were injured at a high school in Winder, GA.
Four years ago, a gunman in Atlanta targeted Asian Americans in a violent rampage, murdering eight people.
