I geek out about government.
Let’s just get this out of the way: I’m a nerd.
I’ve been called it enough in my life that I’ve just got to embrace it — I’m the built-the-Capitol-out-of-Legos, can’t-resist-a-random-history-fact kind of nerd.
(I’ve also built the White House out of Legos. It’s a whole thing.)
Did you know that the ballroom at the Hotel du Pont in Wilmington is where Joe Biden celebrated his first Senate win in 1972? Because I did. And I will absolutely tell you about it at length if you let me.
But here’s the thing: I’ve always been this way. I’ve always been fascinated by how our democracy works — how ordinary people, through public service, can actually make lives better.
And now, I get to take that lifelong love of history and turn it into action in Congress – fighting for unions and teachers, fighting for paid leave and an economy that works for working families.
The nerd is in the building, and I’m rolling up my sleeves and working hard every day, but I’m counting on your support to stay focused on advocating and legislating.
Will you pitch in $5 now to fuel my work in Congress?

We’re facing real challenges. You know it and I know it.
Donald Trump and Republicans are pushing extreme policies that hurt the very people they’re supposed to represent. They’re trying to distract, divide, and derail progress, but I’m pushing back and I’m working on delivering results.
So yes, I geek out about government. And yes, I still have Lego sets at home. But what fuels me is our shared belief that public service can be a force for good — and that we can build something better, together.
If you believe in the work I’m doing, I could use your help. Please chip in $5 or whatever you can now.
